Yala National Park is in southeast Sri Lanka (Hambanthota) bordering the Indian Ocean. A forest area with wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species and many more wild animals. Kumana National Park situated close to Yala is renowned for migratory birds, especially the large flocks of waterfowl and wading birds. Black-necked stock, Eeurasian spoonbill, and pintail snipes are some bird species that you can see here.
 
Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka was created to house the animals displaced during the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir. It’s the place to spot Asian Elephants in the wild. You can visit Elephant Orphanage and feed the baby elephants.
